Adrienne F - Support Worker

Adrienne F - Geelong

(ayd - ree - en)

What are your hobbies outside of working?

I enjoy art, being out in nature, with friends, trying new craft projects, doing movement arts like lyra and trapeze, or listening to music at home.

What inspired you to become a Support Worker?

When coaching dance classes, I recognised that I had a passion that wasn't just for the content I was teaching. I felt honoured to be able to support and hold a safe space for people whilst they navigated the challenges, and accompanying emotions, of learning a new skill. It was fulfilling to see the students grow their confidence, independence and self-trust, and I'm grateful to be able centre my career around empowering people as a support worker.

What were you like growing up?

I was on the quieter side and a bit of a daydreamer who was very playful, social and curious. I spent a lot of time dancing, outside looking at insects, decorating everything, or being with my friends.
