Bella S - Support Worker
Bella S - Geelong
What are your hobbies outside of working?
Outside of work, I enjoy playing netball, going for walks and spending time with my friends and family. I also love spending time with my cat, Humphrey. I enjoy being active and getting outdoors, but I also like having relaxed days at home watching movies, going shopping or catching up with people close to me.
What inspired you to become a support worker?
I was inspired to become a support worker because I enjoy helping people and being able to make a positive difference in their everyday lives. I like being able to provide support with day-to-day activities, encourage independence and help people feel supported through life. I’ve been working in support work for three years now and have really enjoyed the experience. I find it rewarding to help someone achieve their goals, try new things and be there to support them when they need it. Seeing the progress and achievements of the people I support is something I really enjoy and is what continues to inspire me in this line of work.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very active and creative. I played swimming, netball and dance and loved doing arts and crafts. My favourite thing was to play with barbies and also practising hair and makeup on myself and my sister. I really enjoyed spending time with my brother and sister we were always making dance concerts, riding around on our bikes or making up a new game to play.
