What are your hobbies outside of working?
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time making and listening to music. I love playing piano and singing, and music is something that’s always been a big part of my life. I also enjoy swimming, going to the beach, and doing pilates, as being in the water or moving my body helps me feel calm and grounded. In my downtime, I love reading, patting dogs whenever I get the chance, and going out for yummy food with people I care about.
What inspired you to become a Support Worker?
I became a support worker because I genuinely care about people and want to be the kind of person I needed growing up. I know how hard it can be to feel different, misunderstood, or unsupported, especially as a young person. Having someone who feels emotionally safe, patient, and encouraging can make a huge difference. I’m passionate about being a trusted support, a good listener, and someone who cheers people on as they work towards their own goals.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I loved learning, swimming, and spending time with animals. I was a bit shy but very curious and thoughtful, and I enjoyed having time to read and explore things that interested me. This has helped me grow into someone who is patient and understanding, and who enjoys helping children and young people feel comfortable being themselves.
