What are your hobbies outside of working?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, relaxing, and working on cars, which is a real passion of mine. I enjoy learning new things, developing new skills and working on projects in my spare time. I like keeping busy while also making time to unwind and enjoy the things I love.
What inspired you to become a Support Worker?
What inspired me to become a support worker is my passion for helping people feel heard, valued and supported. Through my experience working with children with additional needs and supporting people from different backgrounds, I’ve seen how much of a difference patience, understanding and encouragement can make. I find it rewarding to help people build confidence, develop independence and achieve their personal goals, while making sure they feel respected and comfortable being themselves.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was outgoing, friendly and enjoyed being around people. I liked socialising, meeting new people and building connections with others. I’ve always enjoyed being part of a group and making people feel comfortable, which has helped shape my confident, approachable and caring personality today.
