Evie B - Support Worker
Evie B - Geelong
What are your hobbies outside of working?
I love outside adventures and connecting with nature and animals. You will often find me Walking my dog Winnie a boxer x staffy or getting hands on with any creative outlet I can find, recently I have been scrapbooking my travel adventures!
What inspired you to become a Support Worker?
My mum and sister had been doing supports for as long as I can remember and I had always had the desire to go down this path too. I finally took a leap out of retail a few years ago into the unknown and have loved every second of building connections with my special people and wish to continue this for a very long time.
What were you like growing up?
I was a quiet kid with a lot of internalised feelings, I struggled through school and finding my place in the world however through experiences and finishing school came to understand that being myself was more than okay, I am now a confident and carefree adult who is the helping hand to navigate the world and create a safe and judgement free environment. ‘Weird’ is cool, I embrace my weirdness now.
