What are your hobbies outside of working?

Outside of work I spend most of my time with family and friends. I’m very close with my nephews and niece, and I love being involved in their lives. I also enjoy listening to music, which helps me relax and recharge.

How do you connect with young people?

I connect with young people by being genuine and relatable. I use my own life experiences to understand what they’re going through, and I make sure to really listen and show that I care. I also find that humour, patience, and shared interests like music are great ways to build trust and rapport.

What were you like growing up?

Growing up I was social and family-oriented, but I also faced challenges that taught me resilience and empathy. Those experiences help me now to connect with young people in an honest and supportive way, because I understand the value of having someone who believes in you.
