Issy C - Therapy Assistant
Issy C- Geelong
What are your hobbies outside of working?
I love to bake! When I'm stressed I find baking very therapeutic. I love following a recipe and then having something sweet to eat when I'm done (I think my family likes that too!).
I also do a lot of pilates. I have a very competitive and high-intensity sporting background, however, I love how pilates focuses on breathing and moving slowly.
What inspired you to become a Therapy Assistant?
I'm studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Deakin and being a therapy assistant is an amazing way to help people, while learning practical skills that relate to my studies.
What were you like growing up?
I've always thought of myself as an introverted-extrovert. When I was a kid, I was always asked to speak at school assemblies and be in the school performances. However, when around my school peers I was often very shy and quiet, and felt like I didn't really fit in. I was definitely someone who preferred having a few very close friends, rather than being involved in big friendship groups.
