Jasmine M - Wyndham
What are your hobbies outside of working?
I am a nature lover and enjoy spending time outdoors. Being in nature helps me clear my head and feel for rejuvenate. I also thoroughly enjoy watching TV show, (especially documentaries) spending time with friends and family or working on a personal hobby, such as gaming, sewing, knitting, painting and many more crafts.
What inspired you to become a support worker?
A strong desire to enhance people's lives, a passion for helping others, and the satisfaction of creating deep connections and partnerships. Many people, like me find the work to be incredibly fulfilling, particularly when they can assist clients in gaining new skills and becoming more self-independent. It gives us a sense of purpose and that warm feeling that we are doing our role to the fullest.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up in a loving family of 6, Mum, Dad, older sister, myself, younger sister, and baby brother. My childhood was filled with joyful moments and simple pleasures. I spend my weekends / time off school, playing fairytale (imaginative games) and would drag my siblings along to play. Some of my fondest memories was our weekly coffee dates every Saturday with myself and Grandad, he was my rock growing up and shaped to be the person I am today.
